This is the effort of the State and partners to reposition Primary healthcare delivery in Kano state, fast track PHCUOR and align the agency focus, systems, and structures with new development. In addition, the national health space including State Emergency Maternal and Child Health Intervention Centre (SEMCHIC), Local Government Emergency Maternal and Child Health Intervention Centre (LEMCHIC), State Emergency Routine Immunization Coordinating Committee (SERICC), Reproductive Maternal, Newborn Child Adolescent Health and Nutrition  (RMNCAEH) +N, and Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF), as well as the new developments in the state Contributory Scheme, Kano State Health Trust Fund (KHETFUND) are increasing their focus on Minimum Service Package (MSP); the need for Primary healthcare to improve its coordination and service delivery.

 

CHECOD conducted situation analysis as a step towards the development of a 10-Year costed plan for the Kano State Primary Healthcare Management Authority. Strategic pillars and priority areas were defined which is the framework on which the 10-Year plan will be hinged.
