The #KTRACE Project team recently conducted an inception visit to Kebbi State to formally introduce the project, strengthen government ownership and build stakeholder collaboration as the foundation for implementation across seven priority LGAs.
The visit focused on ensuring that #KTRACE implementation would be Government-led, community-centred, culturally responsive, and aligned with existing systems, structures, and ongoing interventions.
During the visit, the team engaged with the Kebbi State Ministry of Health, Kebbi State Primary Health Care Development Agency (KSPHCDA), National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Kebbi Field Office, Traditional Leaders and the State Routine Immunization Technical Working Group, alongside key partners including World Health Organization, UNICEF, PATH and others.
These engagements provided an opportunity to better understand existing immunization structures and priorities, identify areas for collaboration, and ensure alignment between #KTRACE activities and current state government and partner interventions.
The visit marked an important step in building strong partnerships and laying the foundation for effective implementation and sustainable results across the seven priority LGAs.
