CHECOD provided technical support during the refresher training on the Development of the 2027 Annual Operational Plan (AOP) and orientation on the updated online AOP tool, held from 9–10 July 2026 at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja, Nigeria.
The two-day training strengthened participants’ understanding of the 2027 AOP development process, evidence-based planning, priority setting, and the practical application of the updated online AOP tool.
As part of the programme, CHECOD presented the quarter one AOP review findings for 24 states in Nigeria, to inform evidence-based planning and continuous performance improvement. The team also delivered technical presentations on, “What has changed within the online AOP tool” and a live demonstration of the updated online AOP tool, thereby equipping participants with the knowledge and practical skills to effectively utilize the platform.
Through such continued technical assistance, CHECOD remains committed to strengthening health sector planning, promoting data-driven decision-making, and supporting the effective implementation of annual operational plans in Nigeria.
