Lafiya supported Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Authority (KADCHMA) to develop it’s10-Year Strategic Plan 2021-2030. Lafiya also provided technical assistance to KADCHMA to undertake the development of Financial Sustainability Plan (FSP) and investment case for their 10-Year strategic plans. The FSP outlined the financial goals of the agency over the period of the strategic plan and enumerate the strategies and actions that are needed to enable the agency to remain solvent and achieve those goals while expanding coverage of healthcare services to the population. A budget for implementation is the final component of the plan.
The One Health Tool framework, SimIns and other supporting tools were utilized by CHECOD to evaluate the impacts of the plan on neonatal, child and maternal mortality, Out-of-Pocket (OOP) expenditures, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth and employment in Kaduna state. The Financial Sustainability Plan & investment case for Jigawa Contributory Health Management Authority 10-Year Costed Strategic Plan was also developed.
In addition, CHECOD supported the development of Borno State’ Contributory Health care Management Agency 10-Year strategic plan through the domestication of the NHIS 10-Year Strategic Plan, to guide the evolution of the agency and the scheme toward attainment of universal health coverage (UHC) in the states. Growth strategy and Strength Weakness Opportunity Threat (SWOT) analysis is the basis on which the 10-year strategic plan was planned and costed. It was developed for the agency and drawn from the strategic position and operational diagnostic tools administered on the agency.
