From 3 to 7 August 2026, the Yobe State Ministry of Health, with support from the @FCDO Lafiya Programme, convened stakeholders from across its departments, and agencies for a five day workshop to review 2026 AOP Quarter 1 and Quarter 2 performance, develop the SITAN, and prioritize HSSB interventions for the 2027 AOP.
During the workshop, our team provided technical assistance through:
• Presented findings from the Yobe State Health Sector 2026 AOP Q1 review.
• Delivered refresher training on the Quarterly Review Tool.
• Presented the Yobe State Evidence Pack to support evidence based SITAN and prioritization.
• Trained participants on Root Cause Analysis, problem solving skills and tools to strengthen evidence based SITAN.
• Availed orientation on new features in the AOP Web based Tool.
The workshop enhanced stakeholders’ capacity to use data, evidence, and structured problem solving approaches to identify priority health sector needs and shape the development of Yobe State’s 2027 AOP. These efforts are helping shift health planning from routine data collection to evidence driven action, enabling more strategic prioritization and better alignment of resources with the needs of the people of Yobe State.
